Tracking Feedback Progress
Every pin in NotedWP has one of two statuses: open or resolved. This simple system keeps your review workflow clear without overcomplicating things.
Open Pins
When you create a pin, it starts with an open status. Open pins display a numbered marker on the page, indicating feedback that still needs attention.
Resolved Pins
Once feedback has been addressed, mark the pin as resolved. Resolved pins swap their numbered marker for a green checkmark, so you can see at a glance which items are done.
Resolving a Pin
You can resolve a pin in two ways:
- From the overlay. Click the pin marker to open its popover, then click the Resolve button.
- From the WordPress admin. Open the pin in the NotedWP admin panel and change its status to resolved.
Reopening a Pin
Changed your mind or spotted a new issue? Click the green checkmark on a resolved pin and select Reopen. The pin returns to open status and gets its numbered marker back.
Bulk Resolve (Pro)
On the Pro and Agency plans, you can resolve multiple pins at once. Open the comments panel, select the pins you want to close, and click Bulk Resolve. This saves time when wrapping up a review round.
Filtering by Status
The comments panel sidebar lets you filter pins by status. Use the filter dropdown to view:
- All pins on the current page
- Open pins only
- Resolved pins only
This is helpful when you want to focus on outstanding feedback or review what has already been handled.
The Status Bar
At the top of the comments panel, a status bar displays the count of open and resolved pins for the current page. Use this as a quick progress indicator to see how much feedback remains.
