Discussing Feedback on Pins
Every pin in NotedWP supports threaded replies. Instead of scattering feedback across emails or chat messages, you can keep the full conversation attached to the exact spot on the page it refers to.
Replying to a Pin
Click any numbered pin marker on the page to open its popover. Below the original feedback, you will see a reply field. Type your response and click Reply to add it to the thread.
Your reply appears nested under the original comment, creating a clear conversation flow. There is no limit to the number of replies on a single pin.
Who Can Reply
Both logged-in WordPress users and guests (via share links) can leave replies. This means your clients can respond to your feedback directly without needing a WordPress account.
Viewing Threads in the Comments Panel
The comments panel is a sidebar that lists all pins and their conversations in one place. Open it by clicking the comments icon in the toolbar or pressing . (Pro).
The Comments tab shows every pin on the current page. Each entry displays:
- The pin number
- The original feedback message
- A preview of the latest reply
- The current status (open or resolved)
Click any entry to expand the full thread and see all replies.
Author Display
NotedWP shows who left each comment:
- Logged-in users display their name and avatar from their WordPress profile.
- Guests display the name they entered when registering through the share link.
This makes it easy to tell at a glance who said what, even in longer threads.
Threaded Conversations
Replies are nested using a parent-child structure. Each reply references its parent comment, so conversations stay organized even when multiple people are discussing the same pin.
You can follow the thread from top to bottom to see how feedback evolved and what decisions were made.
